10252006p2.gifWOW!  Can it Really be True????
Is todays Peanuts cartoon strip the reprint of
the actual introduction of the Great Pumpkin?!?!?!?!??!

With the passing of Charles Schultz a couple of years ago the local papers out this way (New York) have been running “Classic” Peanuts episodes daily.

But in todays issue of the Daily News, and on the Peanuts website, todays comic strip seems to feature the first of a series of panels that will introduce the Great Pumpkin!!!! With Halloween less than 1 week away and the replaying of the animated “Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!” on TV this Friday night, this is just a fantastic thrill for this old Charlie Brown fan. This is a real Depends moment!

Todays column is reposted here with love! :)
But do check out the Official Peanuts website for lots more Charlie Brown and Peanuts goodness.

Halloween Garland

Halloween / Fall Garland

Do you really think “Martha” is the only one to have the nicest house in town? Well here’s an elegant way to bring the fall holidays to your home. This project uses readily available faux vines/foliage and some great fake fruits and vegetables, available at any craft shop (or website). I personally like to use the type of foliage that has a rubberized finish, but any type of nice looking fake foliage will work.
And yes because, basically, we’re cheap we always wait for the end of the season sales, which are going on now. So now’s a good time to pick up the supplies and get some great deals.

While Halloween is only 1 week away, you can simply expand your decorations into Thanskgiving by just removing the Jack-o-lantern. Everything else will work fine till its time for your Christmas decor.
