Here’s a quick and dirty recipe for making your own homemade banana bread. I called it basic because really, you can add a myriad of things to plain banana bread to spice things up your own way…

2.5 cups All Purpose Flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1.5 cups mashed ripe banana (about 3 bananas)
1/4 cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
