The National Cherry Blossom FestivalÂ® is an annual two-week, citywide event featuring daily cultural performances, sporting events, arts & crafts demonstrations and other special events. The 2007 Festival will be held March 31 â€“ April 15. It was just announced that the Japanese Cherry Trees in Washington, DC are expected to bloom from April 01st – 07, Â just in time for the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
The blooming of the cherry trees around the Tidal Basin in Washington, D.C. has come to symbolize the natural beauty of our nation’s capital city.
