Father’s Day
A day of commemoration and celebration of Dad. It is a day to not only honor your father, but all men who have acted as a father figure in your life – whether as Stepfathers, Uncles, Grandfathers, or “Big Brothers.”

It is a time of burnt toast and breakfast in bed, family gatherings, crayon scribbled “I Love You”s and, of course, that lovely new tie!

So buckle up, turn up the radio and get ready for a Father’s Day ride with our Holiday celebration – Father’s Day on the Net.

We’ve got stories to read, music to enjoy, puzzles and games to play, craft projects to make, and pictures for the kids to color! So stop on by and don’t forget to bring the kids and tell your friends!

A day for honoring women who are professional drywall hangers and finishers.

 D.A.D.'s Day (Dollars Against Diabetes)

Dollars Against Diabetes (DAD's Day) is an annual campaign spearheaded by the Building and Construction Trades Department, AFL-CIO.

Since DAD's Day was created in 1987, over $17 million has been raised by thousands of union members, their families and friends. They are stationed at busy street corners all over the country requesting donations from passing motorists to benefit the Diabetes Research Institute. Union members also raise additional funds through walk-a-thons, golf and softball tournaments, raffles and other local events. Over the years, DAD's Day has been recognized by U.S. Senators, Cabinet members, Governors and even the President of the United States.*
