I also call upon the people of the United States to observe with pride and all due ceremony those days from Flag Day through Independence Day, also set aside by the Congress (89 Stat. 211), as a time to honor America, to celebrate our heritage in public gatherings and activities, and to publicly recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.*

Crowded Nest Awareness Day
Remember when the kids went away for college and then moved on with their lives, never to return again? Well not any more!
With the unbelievably high cost of life these days, more and more of our big “little ones” are returning to the “empty nest.” Â And sometimes with a significant other too! Oy!
So today’s the day for bringing awareness to this phenomenon, as well as to offer support for those suffering parents.

June is Perennial Gardening Month
Celebrating the most beautiful time of the gardening year. After the April showers and Mays early bulbs, its June that the garden really comes alive with such perennial highlights as roses, lilies, and clematis.
June is also Turkey Lover’s Month!
Turkey is no longer just for Thanksgiving with this month long promotion of a different kinda meat for your summer grilling and eating.
Gay and Lesbian Pride Month
A month long celebration of Gay pride, culminating with parades and festivals across the nation in celebration of the beginning of the struggle for Gay and Lesbian rights with the Stonewall Riot June 28th, 1969.
