Welcome to August 2007!
Its the Dog Days of Summer. Its hot and muggy and and we’re melting! And while Labor Day and the end of Summer are moving on quickly, there’s still some summertime fun left in the calendar yet!

And while its a quiet month for holidays, there are a couple of fun ones along the way! We’ve got National Underwear Day, Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbors’ Porch Night, and of course National Men’s Grooming Day!

And while its not exactly a holiday, one of our favorite weekends is coming up - August 11 + 12 - when its time for the Paumanauke Pow Wow!

August is the 8th month of the calendar and was named in honor of  the first Roman emperor - Augustus.  FYI - August and July are the only 2 consecutive months with 31 days.
