Constitution Day / Constitution  Week
The Constitution. I’m sure you’ve heard of it. That piece of paper GWB, Darth Cheney and their minions have been trying to shred for years now. Oh yeah. That one.

Luckily there are still those of us who have faith (but slowly ebbing) that our country and constitution can survive.

So use this week to learn more about what geniuses our county’s founders were and how they perceived the future of our country. (I’m sure they’re spinning in their graves now!)

Observed annually by Presidential Proclamation (how ironic!)

(September 17) Today we're also celebrating . . .  Pledge Across America

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim September 17, 2007, as Constitution Day and Citizenship Day, and September 17 through September 23, 2007, as Constitution Week. I encourage Federal, State, and local officials, as well as leaders of civic, social, and educational organizations, to conduct ceremonies and programs that celebrate our Constitution and reaffirm our rights and responsibilities as citizens of our great Nation.
