On Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, President-Elect Barack Obama, joined by his wife and daughters, visited a local food bank and helped pass out food to those in need.

When asked why he brought along his daughters – he replied: “I want them to learn the importance of how fortunate they are and to make sure they’re giving back. The President-Elect also encouraged Americans to do whatever they can to help those in need.

Afterwards the Obamas visited a nearby school to the delight of the elementary school aged students and their teachers.

Wow! A President that actually cares about his fellow citizens! Its going to be a pleasure to watch this family over the coming years!
