I totally agree! I added to your great comments!

International Printing Week
This week we celebrate International Printing Week, which begins each year on January 17th, the birthday of Benjamin Franklin. Before he was a statesman and inventor, Franklin became America’s first millionaire at 46 years old as a result of his printing business.

This week is dedicated to educating and promoting the importance of Graphic Arts and Printing in our everyday life.

Just imagine what our world would look like without their work. What would the Web look like? Plain, bland, with probably a lot of “programmer blue”? Functional. Yes. But, really, really dull.

And who could imagine MTV without its bold and striking graphics and visual humor? Apple without is cool visual style? Magazines, books, TV, movies, the Web? All would be so boring without the ideas, vision, and work of the Graphic Arts and Printing community.

And going back in history, what major event brought Europe out of the Dark Ages and kick-started the Renaissance? Johann Gutenberg, a German printer, and his invention of Movable type.

Graphic Arts and Printing is California second largest industry. Only the Motion Picture industry is larger. Graphic Arts and Printing Rocks!
