Did You Know?
Facts, Figures & Folklore About the Jewish Holiday of Purim

March 06 : 03 days till Purim

Did you know that on Purim, children dress up in costume for Purim parades and carnivals? Traditional fare includes little Queen Esthers. Of course, modern day revelers also dress up as Disney Princesses and Super Heroes.

The most festive of Jewish holidays, Purim is a time of prizes, noisemakers, costumes and treats. The Festival of Purim commemorates a major victory over oppression and is recounted in the Megillah, the scroll of the story of Esther. Purim begins at sundown on the 09th of March.

Middle Name Pride Day
Ahhh Middle Names. The unwanted step-child of the name game. Aside from those three named celebrities, its a good bet that no one uses their middle names.

Who knows your middle name? That’s what I thought.

Well today is your day to be proud, to let it out and let it free. Tell 3 people, who do not already know your middle name. And hopefully they’ll share their middle names with 3 people. And they’ll tell 3. And so on and so on.

All this week we will be celebrating our names. So stop back tomorrow for more fun during our week long celebration of names.
