Pecan Day
Why should that damn peanut get all the attention? Always looking smug in his top hat, spats and monocular.

Well its time for that tastier cousin, Pecan, to take his place in your life.

Lets look at the facts – peanuts basically make peanut butter. Whoopdie Do!

Ah – but the Pecan is part of such wondrous and tasty delights as Pecan Pie and Pralines and Cream Ice Cream! (Yum Yum!)

And while we’re at it – today’s the anniversary of the planting of Pecan trees at George Washington’s Mount Vernon home by none other than George himself. Oh, and those trees? Why they were a gift from Thomas Jefferson!

Maybe it’s time to send that peanut packing back to Jimmy Carter, cause its pecan time now!
