Hairstylist Appreciation Day
What would Marge Simpson be without her blue bouffant? Rachel without her “Rachel” shag? Farrah Fawcett (who?) without the famous “Farrah Fawcett” flip? Dorothy Hamill’s wedge? Bo Derek’s cornrows? Or even Sanjaya without his pony-hawk?

Well we’ve got their hairstylists to thank for these lovely, and in some cases iconic doos. So give a shout out today (and maybe a bigger tip) to your own hairstylist and let them know how important they are to you and your tresses.

In honor of Mother’s Day, join us as we continue our countdown of the Top 10 celebrity moms.

We’ll be highlighting 1 mom daily leading up to the big day, and to our #1 Celebrity Mom herself!

A Top 10 Celebrity Mom

Jennifer Garner
Of all the celebrity moms on this list, Jennifer is probably the most likely to pull up a seat next to you during the local library’s story hour and sing along – mercilessly out of tune – to Old McDonald Had A Farm. Even though motherhood is the great equalizer between celebrities and their adoring fans, there is no more relatable star and mom than Jennifer Garner.

Wife to Ben Affleck and mom to 3-year old Violet, Jennifer is unlike the other A-listers who put on heals and makeup even for a quick run to Starbucks. Jennifer is constantly snapped by paparazzi wearing jeans and sneakers, hair pulled back into a ponytail, without even a hint of makeup. Jennifer would rather spend the day at the park with Violet than shopping on Rodeo Drive – and she’s clearly passing on these good values to her daughter. Now that’s something to celebrate!

Did you know that the founder of Mother’s Day, Anna Jarvis, was vehemently opposed to the commercialization of the holiday?

The National Retail Foundation estimates that Americans will spend more than $14 billion a year on Mother’s Day.
