Independence Day (4th of July – US)
Celebrating the 233rd birthday of the United States of America: On this day in 1776, the Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Continental Congress.

And in honor of the day – Holidays on the Net invites you to celebrate America’s birthday with us.

…Happy 4th of July everybody. This weekend is a time to get together with family and friends, kick back and enjoy a little time off. And I hope that’s exactly what all of you do…

President Obama recounts Americas great history of overcoming seemingly insurmountable challenges, and pledges to lead America in continuing that tradition. Focusing on creating a clean energy economy, comprehensive health reform, and revitalizing an education system in need of change, the President pledges not to leave these decades-old problems to yet another generation to solve.
