August 15 : 07 days to Ramadan*

Did you know that fasting during the month of Ramadan fulfills one of the five pillars of the Muslim faith?

The other pillars are: Testimony of faith, Prayer, Almsgiving, and Pilgrimage.

Observed by more than one billion Muslims around the world, the month of Ramadan is a time for spiritual purification achieved through fasting, self-sacrifice and prayers. It is also believed to be the month when the Holy Quran was sent down from Heaven as a “guidance unto men, a declaration of direction, and a means of Salvation.” We’ll be presenting a new “Did You Know?” fact each day as we countdown to Ramadan.* Please join us!

*Please Note: the first day of fasting in North America is expected to be 08/22. Elsewhere depends where you live.
