Did you know that one-fifth of the world’s population is Muslim?

Did you know that the country with the largest Muslim population is Indonesia?

Did you know that Pakistan and India are home to the second and third largest Muslim populations, respectively?

Observed by more than one billion Muslims around the world, the month of Ramadan is a time for spiritual purification achieved through fasting, self-sacrifice and prayers. It is also believed to be the month when the Holy Quran was sent down from Heaven as a “guidance unto men, a declaration of direction, and a means of Salvation.” We’ll be presenting a new “Did You Know?” fact each day as we countdown to Ramadan.* Please join us!

*Please Note: the first day of fasting in North America is expected to be 08/22. Elsewhere depends where you live.
