Calendar Adjustment Day
In 1751, Britain issued a “Gregorian Correction” edict for the following year. The act attempted to sync up the Gregorian and Lunar calendars by eliminating September 3 – September 13. The act also set January 1st as the official New Year’s Day. Until then it had been March 25.
