More than 700 million of these chick, bunny and egg-shaped marshmallows are purchased every year. A meager 90 million chocolate bunnies are consumed. At peak production, over four million Marshmallow Peeps can be made each day.

Easter is the time of springtime festivals, a time to welcome back the Tulips, Crocuses and Daffodils. A time for Christians to celebrate the life, death and resurrection of Christ. It is on these nights that families hold their Passover seders, a 15-step ritual meal in which the exodus story is retold. Up to 85% of all Jews participate in some kind of Passover seder, making it the most widely celebrated Jewish ritual.

Spring has arrived and with it comes the eight-day Jewish holiday of freedom. It’s time to clean out your chametz, open up a box of matzah and set up for your seder. So join us for our Did You Know? countdown to Passover, which begins at sundown on Monday March 29, 2010.

Celebrating the birthday of Harry Houdini, regarded as the master magician of the 20th century.

Houdini died on October 31th, Halloween. Every year on Halloween attempts are made to contact Houdini through mediums and seances. So far – no luck.
