Peasach 14th of Nissan, is followed by Chag HaMotzi, a shabbat day that is not the weekly shabbat, then we have the weekly shabbat....starting on the morrow after this shabbat we count seven shavuah or weeks to the morrow after the sabbath, hence today since the morrow implies am and not the normal yom observance.
Therefore Chag Sameach Shavuot!
