Did you know that there are fewer than 15 million Jews living worldwide, which constitutes 0.2 percent of the world’s population?

The Jewish faith is practiced in 134 out of the world’s 238 countries.

Did you know that there are some six million Jewish people living in Israel, which accounts for approximately 41% of the world Jewish population?

Three out of four citizens of the state of Israel are Jewish.

Did you know that in the United States, where less than 2 percent of the population is Jewish, approximately 5.5 million Jews reside?

Did you know that the next largest Jewish population is in France, where nearly half a million Jews live?

In France, the Jewish community accounts for less than 1 percent of the country’s total population.

Rosh Hashanah begins a 10 day period, known as the High Holy Days or Yamim Nora’im, a time of penitence and prayer that ends with Yom Kippur. Jews worldwide are given these 10 days to repent for their sins and ask G-d for forgiveness.
