(September 07) Today we’re celebrating . . .  "Neither Snow Nor Rain" Day

“Neither Snow Nor Rain” Day

“Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.”

Celebrating the anniversary of the opening of the the James Farley Post Office, the main Post Office branch in New York City, which bears the above famous inscription attributed to the ancient Greek historian Herodotus.

FYI: Contrary to popular belief that this is the motto of the US Post Office, there is in fact no official motto!

Anybody know what’s up with the Google logo on 9/7/010, which happens to be the day after Labor Day?
