
Mule Day
On this day in 1785, George Washington bred a pair of mules received as a gift from King Charles III of Spain. This breeding first introduced mules to the United States.

Um… not exactly. You can’t breed mules. Mules are, by definition, the *sterile* offspring of a female horse and a male donkey.
I think this is really in commemoration of the DELIVERY of the first Spanish mules to the New World on October 26, 1785.
