Did you know that at the Passover seder, the Hagaddah, or story of the Jewish exodus, must be read?
The reading, which is interrupted in the middle for a festive repast, can take several hours. Some families are up reading the Hagaddah well past midnight.
Spring has arrived and with it comes the eight-day Jewish holiday of freedom. It’s time to clean out your chametz, open up a box of matzah and set up for your seder. So join us for our Did You Know? countdown to Passover, which begins at sundown on Monday April 18, 2011.

Did you know that Americans eat more candy at Easter than at any other holiday besides Halloween?
An average of seven billion pounds of candy is consumed over Easter weekend. Sales of Easter candy top nearly $2 billion; in contrast, just over $1 billion of candy is sold for Valentine’s Day.
Easter is the time of springtime festivals, a time to welcome back the Tulips, Crocuses and Daffodils. A time for Christians to celebrate the life, death and resurrection of Christ. And a time of chocolate bunnies, marshmallow chicks, and colored eggs! Join our Easter festivities as we present a new “Did You Know?” fact each day and countdown to Easter on April 24th!
National That Sucks Day
Today isn’t a favorite for many people — not only are income taxes due today, so are quarter estimated federal income taxes. And, it’s the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic.
