Did you know that Valentine’s Day is named for not one, but many, martyred saints named Valentine or Valentinus, all of whom are believed to have been martyred on February 14th?
The name Valentine is derived from a Latin word meaning valor.
February 14th is Valentine’s Day – a worldwide celebration of love and romance, marked by giving red roses and chocolate hearts or by sending valentines. Join us as we present a new “Did You Know?” fun fact each day as we countdown to Valentine’s Day, the day of love!

Sweetest Day
Sweets for my Sweetie!
On this day in 1922, a candy company employee began an annual tradition of passing out candy to the sick, orphaned and infirm.
Honor this employee’s kind-hearted idea by doing something nice for someone so they can say “Oh that’s sweet“!
